Our comprehensive schedule features award-winning strategies that have been proven to enhance LNAT performance. Additionally, you will receive access to an LNAT textbook.
You’ll be divided into two teams—Prosecution and Defence. As lawyers, you will review police disclosures, present a bail application, deliver closing speeches, and cross-examine witnesses.
Experience a real courtroom by sitting in on court hearings and exploring original documents related to the infamous Guy Fawkes case!
You will have the opportunity to hear from and interact with high-profile solicitors and barristers, gaining insight into their career paths and the legal profession.

After participating in a morning law workshop, you'll embark on a tour of the Inns of Court, the historic heart of the legal profession since the 15th century. Guided by a barrister, you'll gain insights into the English legal system, its history, and the stunning architecture.
You will gain insights into corporate law from a solicitor specialising in equity investments, M&A, and corporate governance. The discussion will cover life as a lawyer, including work/life balance, advancing in your career, and the differences between private practice and in-house roles. Additionally, you'll visit a solicitor's firm to learn about the daily life of a solicitor.
You will participate in a mock criminal trial, representing either the prosecution or the defence. Additionally, you'll visit chambers to gain insights into pupillages, including how to secure one, what a typical day involves, and the proceedings in the Crown Court.

As a DofE Approved Activity Provider, Law Mind’s law work experience qualifies for the Gold DofE Residential section. As part of this residential, you will take part in organised sessions in the morning, afternoon and evening. You will stay in UCL halls of residence in central London. You have the option of adding on our accommodation located in Central London at UCL University Halls (Euston) with 24 hour security and CCTV which includes breakfast and dinner included.
Students will be supported 24/7 with on-site Law Mind staff who are safeguarding and first-ained trained and have enhanced DBS checks.

We believe that financial circumstances should not be a barrier to opportunity, which is why 25% of our places are allocated to students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds through special bursary discounts. The work experience week is non-refundable once booked, as we need to manage logistics such as accommodation and room bookings. If you're uncertain about your attendance but wish to secure your spot, you can pay a non-refundable deposit of £500. The remaining balance will be due before the course begins.
We recommend this course to anyone aged 14-25. This means any child in Year 9 or above or any graduate entry applicant.
Absolutely not! 70% of our students are international and live overseas. We arrange pick up from Heathrow airport to the accomodation and one of the Law Mind team will meet you and also drop you back to your departure terminal if needed.
Safety is paramount to our Work Experience week. Your child will always be accompanied by the Law Mind Safeguarding team for any travel needed. There will be a 30 minute train journey to and from the accomodation to the hospitals/hospice but this will be fully accompanied.
You will be staying at accommodation in Central London in single rooms where breakfast and dinner will be provided. You will stay here from Sunday night (day before the course) as well as the last day of the course (Friday) so in total 6 nights. There is 24/7 security and Medic Mind staff who are first aid and safeguarding trained will be on site to assist. We can also arrange airport pick up for you.
Students coming to the UK for the Work Experience will need a Standard Visitor visa- https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor
The Standard Visitor visa can only be applied for by parents/guardians and costs £100. They must apply through the UK Gov website only, You can name our course and Law Mind as the guardians of under 18s, and provide then the course information and booking confirmation when applying for the visa.
We recommend booking flights first before applying for the visa, as the visa needs proof of a return flight (the course end date might be enough, but might result in rejection).

Yes, many of our students are from overseas and have specific dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, halal, and more. We will make sure to accommodate your meal preferences accordingly.

At all times, your child will be supported by our Law Mind staff, who hold enhanced DBS checks and have completed full first aid and safeguarding training. A female member of staff will always be present on-site and at our accommodation. Students will receive a 24-hour emergency contact number that they can use at any time, which can also be shared with parents and guardians if needed.
The work experience lasts for 5 days, starting at 9am and concluding around 3pm. An exact timetable will be provided to you in advance. If you choose to stay with us at our pre-arranged accommodation, we will organise evening activities such as movie nights, bowling, and more!
We understand that the current economic situation can make it challenging to pay upfront. Therefore, we offer interest-free instalments over 3 to 6 months, but a non-refundable deposit of £500 is required.
No, you do not need to book our accommodation. You can either commute or arrange your own if necessary. The benefit of choosing our accommodation is that you’ll be cared for by our team and stay with other students participating in the work experience programme.
Absolutely. All students will receive a physical certificate confirming their participation in the course, which is essential for their UCAS applications, as many universities require proof of such experience.
